Zhi Zu

Logging off, and found i really enjoy this mandarin song on the radio : Mayday's Zhi Zu.

Thoughts

I woke up early this morning, i can't sleep, it was too cold, my nose was blocked. Or maybe it was not the weather, and it was because i have too much confusing thoughts in my mind. Had a good (or maybe inconclusive) talk with ed yesterday, and realized that i still do not know what i want. I thought i knew (always thought i knew), and i know i have changed so much, i am no longer a dependant person, i know that i am more confident and strong and could be even stronger and i actually quite like it this way. Last few weeks had been really great and i was really happy but reality strike me that i can't change me totally, i tend to go back to my old self sometimes, i m worried that people and situations will not give me a second chance to realize that i have bounce back to old habit and should come back. Then this led me to think that only people who are true to me will always guide me and give me not only the second chance but also the third, fourth and so on. I felt so disappointed when a close mate said that 'he thought i m different from other girls, but realize that i m not' The people i know here, are really amazing, i had so much good memories, but no one actually feel or thought about long lasting relationship, just temporary. A few times, my housemates said about how they felt India is 'temporary', everything ends when u leave this country. Can't deny that I, myself feel that my time here is temporary but to me, everything else is everlasting. I guess this place, though i like it so much, is not where my heart really belongs. I have to leave.

Coorg 3

On the way home from Coorg, we stopped at Kushalnagar, a tibetan settlement. I can't really believe it... in the south of India, in the heart of Karnataka, there is a community of Tibetan from the North. I was amazed by the gorgeous temple, and we spent some quiet time, just sitting, thinking, reflecting inside the temple, it was really good, peaceful to my heart and mind. The Tibetan people looks like me, and not surprisingly, one local tourist started asking this tourist (me) whether i am from there and when i said no, he started asking me question over question on the differences between the place i came from and Tibet. Well, i always pass as a Northern Indian. The people from Northen Indian, near the border of China, in places call Assam and Siqqim, the people looks really like Chinese. And in Bangalore, the community is quite big. So, not surpringly, people speaks to me in Hindi (language most spoken in the North) When i say, i don't understand, they always look surprised. Back to Kushalnagar, I felt like home, coz the temple resemble those we had back home.

This plate of noodles looks simple, but it is probably one of the most delicious food i had in India so far. Oh gosh, i miss it. And oh, the people here uses chopsticks..

Coorg

The weekend before Fort Cochin, a few of us went to Coorg. Again, i hope pictures will tell them all, don't really have time now to write. Will take one weekend off and try to write longer.

On top of the world. The journey up this mountain was horrible; leeches everywhere! Lots and lots and lots of them. If you stop for 1 second, u will see hundreds of them climbing up your legs. For the first time in my life i saw so many leeches (or actually saw real lively hungry leeches.. got bitten on my body unconsciously) . eew..Horrible, horrible! Was so afraid of them, i dreamt of them for a few nights after that.

Nevertheless, the view on top of the mountain was extremely breathtaking. I doubt i'll hike that mountain ever again, but i am so proud and glad that i did. A small personal achivement. Gave me a little more confidence of what i can do no matter how afraid i am or how hard it is, and showed me again that at the end of a tough, hard journey, there's always an awesome beginning :)

We also went to a national safari. We were very early, thought we could see some wild animals, sadly, only saw deers..

On our charted car, i took this picture of the sun ray through the woods. A bit blur, due to the moving vehicle, but i really love this picture.

Irpu Fall... We had to clean ourselves at this waterfall for 2 days because there was no anything called toilet/shower room/ bathroom. I went under the fall, under the rocks.. i felt so good.

Fort Cochin, Kerala

Chinese Fishing Net
-Had a chance to meet some fishermen and tried out this brilliant chinese net in india

Awesome beach! Peaceful, quiet, clean!!!
I was speechless..

On one of our scooters... Met with an accident when we left, ramped into an auto ricksaw who made a sudden turn! Created a big crowd, but no one was hurt except for the bike and ricksaw. Was shocked but it was ok.

The same beach, Fort Cochin. Hidden, even the locals dont know about this beach. It was good thing that we had scooters coz we got to cruise around. The boys got to go into the sea, girls was just mesmerized by the beautiful beach ( we were not prepared for a swim)

Me :)

Sunset at Vipin Island, near Fort Cochin. Took us about 45 minutes of bike journey, and a ferry. On the way home, it was raining cats and dogs. We were drenched. It was fun though.
