End of mid- semester break

It's 4 am , and i am awake. Slept at ~11 pm. I kind of like the 4 am environment here ; peaceful, quiet, cool, and i don't feel pressured or stressed. I think I will want to wake up at this hour again :) With a cup of hot Milo, i am ready to get some work done now! Actually, just got back my laptop today from the Toshiba center. For goodness sake, please..... don't give me any problems anymore , at least for the next one year! So right now, i am reinstalling all the programs.
Oh, today i went to register for basic theory test for conversion of my Malaysian driving license to Singapore driving license. My test will be on the 21st of March. Hahaha.. i'll be legal to drive in Singapore soon! Yea, but no vehicle for me to drive anyway. Well, coz friend is going so i tag along, if i dont do it now, i don't know when i will do it. And wow, the place to take theory test is soooooo far..all the way at Yio Chu Kang.
Mid-term break coming to an end, the uni will be populated with students again. I am not anti-social, but somehow i felt more comfortable during the vacation when there is not much people in school. Maybe just need some break from the mad rush for buses after class, long queueees during lunch hour at Science canteen, and well, maybe i am just too lazy to go for lectures. Again, i would like to stress, mid-semester break is coming to an end. My final semester. The last few days have been very fulfilling, not in terms of the amt of work got done but i terms of the things i went through.
Firstly, my entrepreneurial marketing presentation. All the hardwork put onto the presentation and the 'last minute' meeting at plaza sg was worthwhile. Initially we were quite nervous as we do not know what to expect. Some people came in with very formal wear. Some looks far more biz-savvy than us. However, at the end of our presentation, we managed to set an identity for ourselves,i think ppl will remember us. And the lecturer commented that our presentation and the flow was good. Alright, a good start! After us, there is one more group that came up with quite an impressive presentation and biz-idea that is almost similiar. We'll take it as our challenge and learning opportunity.
This short-vacation, i also had the opportunity of meeting the Vice Dean of Faculty of Science, in- charge of Academic Affair. I am quite impressed and convinced by him that Nus Fac of Sc is actually the best fac in NUS and offer the best academic value among the top uni in the world. Haha, yea yea i know what you willl say. But I wont say that just because i am from Sc. He's such a nice person, spent 2 hour plus with us from his busy schedule. His sec kept coming in, reminding him abt his meetings but he says, it's ok, .. implying that he has guests with him. To me, He's very ' AIESEC' in some ways. He seems to see academic excellence from not only excellent grades but also how the other opportunities that one can identify and pick up that make u diffenrent and add value to your degree. If you want to know more about why Sc fac offer the best academic value, can contact me. ( haha..i am becoming an ambassador....jk)
Alright, better get back to work.

My Sleeping Cycle

Can't sleep. My sleeping cycle is getting crazy. I sleep at 5 or 6 am and wake up at 8 or 9 am. Then the next day i will sleep at 930 pm and then 5 or 6 am. Maybe due to the amt of work. So much work to do. My mid-semester break are fully occupied with appointments :S Not forgetting the 2 microbiology long lab reports. Ah, interesting, reports without page limit? Now i realize it's quite difficult to write a no-page-limit report. Why? Coz i dunno when to end. And both are combined-lab report. Each are reports for at least 2 or 3 practical sessions. Alright, until i get these done (++ some AIESEC stuff) , i wont be able to get good peaceful sleeps.

Help Needed!

Hey my friends...

I need a little help from all students from the NUS Faculty of Science Year 1 to Year 4.

We are students from the Faculty of Science (FOS) who are doing a survey as a partial fulfillment for our Professional Communication ES2007s module. We are aware that many students in all Majors of study except Pharmacy are interested to do Honours year, but are unable to do so because they could not fulfill the minimum required C.A.P of at least 3.5. As such, we want to survey students’ opinions about the possible implementation of 4 years Direct Honours Programme for all Majors of study except Pharmacy in FOS.
The purpose of this survey is to gather your feedback so that we can evaluate your point of view on this issue. If the results support the idea of implementing the 4-year Direct Honours Programme, we may send a report to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs for his consideration and further action. Please assist us by completing the questionnaire
Here are the links :
Please help us to fill up the survey if you are a science student. If not, please help me to pass to your friends. :)

Sunday

Sunday!! I spent my Sunday morning watching TV. A lot of work to do, but rest is crucial :) .

I haven't finish sharing about my exciting December holidays but, by now, most of them will only stay in my memories,i cant find words to write them down in here anymore. Just want to mention here about the 'accidental' Kuala Lumpur trip with the MC and OCSEA delegates. I had the greatest time for we really click very well, snapping crazy pictures and spending quality time knowing each other as close friends (and not colleagues) Do visit Sharon's picture album and you'll see how crazy we were. This trip, one of my best moments! :) I didnt planned to stay so long in KL ( 6 days!) so i dont have clothes to wear toward the end. I had to wear a wet dark blue shirt in one occasion ( No 1 knows except of my 2 roomies sharon and zaf..haha) By now you would want to know ..why 'accidental' trip?? Oh well, the MC planned for a getaway trip before our term started, during the term and after the exams, after much discussion, plans, i went home with confirmation that there wont be any trip for us during the Dec hols. BUT...in KL, suddenly some of them decided to 'drop' by OCSEA and have a short vacation around KL..So, the sudden 'accidental' KL trip with MC :) !! in KL also,, i met up with my long time forever sister buddy, i stayed with her, oh the Mamak stall at her flat..simply amazing!!!!!!!!!Had mamak food for straight 4 days. She treated me so well as the host that i felt so guilty but sisters forever!

After KL, I went back home. For the longest ever period. At home, i painted all the doors and gates and grills to prepare for Chinese new Year!! I spent Christmas with my family..And 2006 New Year with my lovely 2 sisters ( my parents slept already!). Even though we just stayed at home and watch TV, i felt more fulfilled and happy than i was when counting down at Sentosa or at Esplanade with sea of people. And i got calls from friends

In conclusion, EXCELLENT December!
